I went to fill up the car last night , after claiming it was game over here, I heard a few distant rumbles over some fells locally known as winter hill, at least it seemed to coming from that way ,  two or three distant rumbles does not get me out of the NSC though

Looks like we all generally missed out yet again, God this region is so poor for snow & storms. Is one snow event followed by one storm event each year too much to ask! The storm and snow starved south however....

Damp, misty but fresher start to the day although I’d prefer some sunshine.

not expecting much today though with the threat of showers this far East in the region but hopefully things will improve tomorrow.

Nope.  Nothing at all on Winter Hill.  Dry as a bone.

That’s why we had a water pressure issue yesterday evening

I was almost tempted to stand under it.  The car was reading 26°C at the time.

After yesterday’s poor efforts, it’s nice to the warm sunshine back again.

Other than a 30 second downpour last Sunday, it's been bone dry here all week. I'd love to see a chart of the rain across the country since then. I reckon it would show great stripes of heavy rain, interspersed with holes where the showers have missed all week. One of them over south Manchester and my patched garden!
