Looking stable to my south west again,clearing up,meteor shower tonight so might stay in the garden with the wife and few beers

I think if it’s not happened by 10, that’s it, this kind of reminds me of 2015 I think, 1st July? Where big storms kicked off around 9:30pm in NW England.

Bits of drizzle around Staffs, Cheshire, Derbys, indicative that the destabilisation is underway. Just need enough energy from the day to get things breaking the cap.

Convective weather just replied to my tweet asking about the lack of activity and they said that everything is a lot further west than what model guidance would have suggested,They also mentioned putting Cumbria into a moderate for tonight as well.

I guess if it’s still west, we still have a chance further east still, even if it’s later.

 

ots still 19.6c here, and the humidity has gone from 50% to 61%
