Great to see snow falling today. Anyone expecting anything major and staying up don’t do it to yourselves ? it’s cold and there will be the odd shower but get some sleep

No I want to count today as my 17th sno day and it doesn’t count unless I  I stand outside with snow actually falling on my head. I will give it till 4 AM.

Been coming down here for a couple of hours now looks to be a minimum of 3cm but looks to continue for a bit looking at the radar.

Must force myself to go to sleep now but it really is great out there. Continuous light to moderate snow pushing in off the Pennines settling on all surfaces.

Couple of cm deep at present.

If the green echoes make it this side of the hills for any length of time then we could have several cm by the morning.

Just been out in it, seems to be getting heavier. Best covering of the winter in mid March!

It’s about half an inch here of powder snow like the other week. About the same amount I got during the last beast not counting that short-wave. -1.9°C.  Question is should I bother staying up?

Nope lol. How did your gig go?

Plenty of snow fallen since 9pm here with lots of cars stranded on the roads and only one gritter seen all night going through town. feels a little more pleasant now the stronger gusts have gone.

There's more collective snow now, in a shorter period of time, than last time... And still coming down! I'll get some pictures - I suppose really I should be posting in the Yorkshire thread.. but I've very on the border  :D

Light snow now but won’t amount to much.

Yeah, and looking at what's happening here, my area should be under Amber warning I reckon

Good morning:hi:

Posting from the protected zone on the Fylde Coast.Blackpool area.

The snow just dare not enter the protected zone.

Nice to see the Radar showing many areas getting pasted this morning.

Surrounded by the white stuff but not a flake to be seen yet.Howling winds and pretty cold

As for the back door photo in Glossop what can i say.

As usual enjoying your posts and photos showing the scenes today.

One day a flake will fall.:yahoo:Maybe.
