Rang the Met Office before, asked if there was a Blizzard on the way? they said there isn't, they were correct.

Appears the main streamer has set up shop over Lincolnshire, be interesting to see how much NW progression it makes through the small hours

Yes, for once I'm in the middle of a streamer, 3-4cm and rising fast.

Sounds promising.

you know which way to send them, up the Calder Valley and then straight over the tops at Todmorden, i’ll be sat there waiting.

4cms of dry powdery snow has fallen in past 3 hours with temperature at -3.5c, not bad for mid January, errr sorry mid March!

Just driven back from my friends house would usually walk across my field but snow and drifts too bad. No evidence of any gritting in Bacup. Lucky for me my car is so good in the snow!

There never is much evidence of gritting in Bacup, especially when ice and snow is forecast but tonight is bad, probably the worst blizzard here since the one in late March 2013.

i’m quite looking forward to seeing the drifts up the lane tomorrow.

Still just a dusting here, sat between the streamers this evening. If it doesn’t snow tonight, then that’s it.

Proper thick around here, not sure about the snow though.

Another heavy snow shower here now. Radar looking better for a potential line of showers on course for here at last.

I’m watching that too as that would come over me if it survives the Pennines and Manchester.

The Met Office app has been pretty consistent in forecasting me heavy snow from 11 - 4am. Until now, it has changed to dry. Oh well. We have pretty good covering. Will see what happens

Up at 6 so won’t be radar watching unfortunately. Looks like some good stuff coming our way.
