We will see what depths are reported in the morning etc, but at the moment, metoffice seemed to have called this correctly with their warnings.

Wow, absolute beefcake of a streamer heading for Southport & Formby. Still dry here, of course.

Indicates a streamer. A stream of showers.

Cheers

Why in the context of that chart though, what am I looking for? Is that 2 fronts meeting?

Ramsbottom - Mid afternoon, was thinking the showers were pretty, but nothing beefy to get a cover going. Seemed a standard easterly.

Then the streamer from Bridlington way set up shop and there have been lots of heavy bursts since leaving a great covering and snow blowing all over the place. Great stuff in the end.

got home from central Manchester after a huge snow shower around 4:15pm, it’s just a dusting here at home, but it’s snowing now. Looks like the shower streams are north and south of here generally.

Some pretty bright colours showing in that line of showers and they are still piling in of the North Sea.

Hoping the bands moving in over the Hull area will plug the gap in the radar...

Looks like the latest streamer may just miss here but this Winter has been miles better than the last several, I think this is just a taster of what is to come. For me the sun is the main player nothing else....

If Met. O warnings are put out for impacts then looking at the cars struggling up the main road outside our house and the snow still piling up, I think we should have been in the Amber zone after all.

probably only a couple of inches deep but it’s still very gusty and well below freezing so definitely a stopping in with a bottle of red sort of night.
