Had a mini blizzard while I was in the garage patching up my inner tubes, got bad enough I had to shut myself in. Still some remnants of it laying about probably about 1 to 2mm depth now it's getting very cold I'm imagine anything that falls overnight has a great chance of sticking

Now going to spend the rest of the evening/night in bed after my dinner though as I think I've got man flu :cold:

Oh no hope you feel better soon

I don’t think a can ever remember seeing snow as heavy as we’re having here at the moment.

visibility is probably less than 50 metres and in less than 10 minutes it’s put over an inch down.

pretty amazing really and plenty more showers lining up across to the east.

Light snow started again after what seemed like a never ending gap in the cloud above my house.

Have the showers got something against central Manchester? They seem to die out but the other parts survive to the north and south.

Heavy snow at the Airport Kev

Good 2cm covering on the cars and grass road clear though

Radar has some heavy returns but so sporadic and showery - one approaching us now only just thawed out from helping out a mate on a stuck bearing on his tractor trailer I have been on the tops when my water bottle has frozen on a few occasions but its the second time this year that Easterly has been something else.

Real streamer is further north just south of Bridlington to east of Preston at the moment.

But for some reason any bright echoes that approach central Manchester die out.

Not often you see a Met Office forecast that says disruptive snow will spread across most southern regions. Quite a trough forming for those parts. Wouldn’t mind one of those.

Best shower all day here and it gives me half a cm in couple of minutes.

After a brief lull it’s back to white out conditions here again now.

The wind is so gusty here. It is reducing any cover that builds up on roads and pavements, just like two weeks ago. Unless the radar picks up, we won't get anywhere near the depths of that event as we are in the gap with occasional moderate showers only at the moment.

Ties in with the amber warning, which described 'narrow bands of 5-10cm'. Some will get lucky, others a dusting only maybe.
