Manchester Airport has dropped to -2C at last report, probably because of the showers. That's an impressive temperature reading at this time of the year for that  time of the day.

and it is going for heavy snow showers

Temporary
from 17 at 15 UTC to 18 at 09 UTC
Visibility: 0300 m
Broken clouds at a height of 800 ft
heavy snow showers

Snow bucketing down here and settling more readily on surfaces out of the shade now. Great upgrade on Airport TAF posted above ^^

Heavy showers moving through and leaving a covering, down to -1.8°C. Looks like a good streamer is heading this way soon!

Wow white out here, not massive flake but loads of them. Settling on most surfaces but is struggling on some parts maybe the wind.

Weve always been poor for snow that doesn't change overnight.

Very heavy here now, blizzard conditions in the wind.  Size of flakes have increased.  Showers heading for us seem heavier and closer together and with the sun now going down this might get a chance to cover a little.

Glad I was back in the house before that last one came through, heaviest of the day and with temperatures already at -3c should stick along with anything that falls from now on.
