My garden and stables are only just back together after the last blow so I hope it doesn’t get any stronger than this. Intensity of light snow increasing.

Last time was some of the strongest winds i’ve seen here for years, can’t see it being that bad but strong easterlies always seem to hammer us up here.

nice to see falling snow blowing about.

I expect to have a dry weekend now apart from a few flakes. Oh well.

Chill man, we will get some later this afternoon.

Just been out to clear the snow off the car and move it to the top of the drive and it’s damn cold in that wind.

Falling snow is not to heavy but blowing about and sticking instantly to anything it hits including the main road so it bodes we’ll for anyone who ends up under a streamer.

morning. The radar looks exactly how it did during the last cold spell. Metoffice seems to think the highest risk of snow IMBY is this afternoon now, and not overnight tonight.

The sun tried to come out about 15 minutes ago but it’s been pretty well constant falling and blowing snow for the last hour and it’s having no trouble sticking.

Wind fierce helping a mate at his farm - so unusual winds from the East lifting and throwing  corrugated sheet around which are usually stored and sheltered from the Westerlies.

-1.5c, a gale force wind and blowing snow.

says something about this winter that we’ve waited almost 5 years for anything approaching blizzard conditions and then we get two serious attempts at it in the same month.

its still a hell of a long way to go to beat the conditions at the beginning of the month but it’s giving it a good try.

Bit underwhelming here too..

Really need the showers to get heavier if we are going to see a covering here today!

You must be in the sweet spot Ian.

Lots of blue sky and sunshine here.

( occasional light snow but not even sticking to pavements)

It’s very early days mate - wasn’t expecting much this side of the hills until lunchtime. If anything this is all happening quite early.

Glorious sunshine one minute, moderate to heavy snow the next. Any snow settling out of the shade is obviously melting quickly. Proper dry powder snow though.
