Remember it well mate, I was 16 at a house party which turned into more of a pi#sed snowball fight street party (pretty sure it was 96 anyway, I was pretty pi#sed like). :D

I definitely don’t remember it; probably because I was still in a cot sucking a dummy lol.

 How much did we get?

True, there was one in the station pulling carriages but Flying Scotsman seemed to be the centre of attraction.

back to weather though and why are the BBC regional weather forecasts so bland and uninspiring.

is it the graphics, is it the presenter or is it just the fact that they aren’t convinced that anything remotely interesting is going to happen.

personally i’m not bothered about any more snow this season but after missing the worst of it last time around I think that i’m going to get a bit of a dumping this weekend.

It could well be that it’s just going to be cold which is what they point to. They could be wrong they might not be! But they’re not going to stick little snow graphics in to please us lot.

Meto Group provides Oxberry with two grey cloud symbols to talk about for Sat & Sun.  She couldn't get mild on her bingo sheet tonight.

Winds swinging round to a NEly flow with the colder air on NWRadar just making it's way inshore along the East Coast, it's going to be a chilly evening tomorrow for St.Patricks Day, myself I got some Carling in the garage and some films to catch up on.

5.7°C now, DP 3°C. The way it’s going we could be looking at snow before midnight.

Meanwhile, in Buxton.

Not exactly a standard March evening.

Taxi's will be busy at 3am from that forecast when it's chucking out time at the clubs  lucky for me I hate clubs (more of a pub customer) and at home tonight & tomorrow anyway.

The BBC forecasts and app are a shambles. I don’t take any notice now. I follow a couple of forecasters on twitter and watch the Met Office now.

Agreed 100%-

they are a joke, and they dont even tie in with the graphics on their site :)
