This weekend looks like a good chance to get some more very low minima. -5.5°C is the March minimum to beat from two weeks ago. Not really that bothered about any more snow tbh; got enough last Thursday to last for another 5 years.

Cowd start t'day

Glad you got your cow working mate, did you use jump leads? That's all you need with the boiler and electric problems you've had. Have you ever tried a car to get about in, they are far more efficient you know :D

Well would you Adam and Eve it LOL

UKMO/GFS/ICON Have the high pressure further North meaning that on these runs it is no longer a Midlands south risk of snow showers or longer periods of snow

A bit off topic, but does anyone know if there is any snow left around or on Mam Tor?

I'm not sure about Mam Tor, but from what I saw today heading into Buxton today there was still patches up snow left up on Kinder, Brown Knoll, and at the side of the Long Hill road just before the White Hall Center.

Don't think it will be as good as last cold spell for snow I'm not in the warning areas

I don’t want snow this time, a cold dry sunny weekend will suit me to get some outside jobs done.

Maybe a bit of interest in the updated fax charts a front crossing the region early hours of Saturday could be a fair bit of snow on that front if there is enough cold air in place

thanks to @knocker for posting these in the short term model thread

Yes mate just had a gander looks interesting now.

HIRLAM should be just about coming into view tomorrow so will be keeping tabs on that as it's been incredibly accurate this Winter and far better than any met warnings and some of the bigger models.
