We must’ve had about 3 inches of snow in Aintree. Thawing now though.

Made the best of it and took Buster the dog for a winter walk ❄️⛄️

Hadn't been keeping tabs on the models the last few days so didn't remotely expect this. Amazing so far. Only downside is it will probably be gone by mid-afternoon.

6 inches on the grass, 4 inches on the path officially makes it the deepest snow of the winter (including last week) by quite some margin. Looks stunning outside. Incredible for the middle of March.

In terms of snow falling....This has most definitely been the snowiest winter I've ever known.

Now lightly snowing. If it had been further South as originally forecast, it would be total carnage here. Oh well, I feel more will come before the end of the month.

It's been mad hasn't it. Regularly lying snow since about November, okay a bit of a thaw - snow - thaw - snow pattern and not massive totals but it's been incredibly snowy. .

Yeah!

Apart from last week, the snow never really lasted on the ground longer than a day around here.

But I was just looking through my Instagram and it's just snow fotos from the past few months haha.

Chuffed for those in the south of the region getting in on the snow action! Didn't make it up here, just lovely sunshine. To be honest I'm done with winter now, roll on spring.

So bored of winter now. Spring seems really delayed, trees barely budding and the daffodils in my garden still yet to flower compared to last year when I'm sure they were out by now.

I'm not greedy but a think I've got one more good snow event in me.

Although the gardeners on here are probably having heart attacks every time they look out their window at the minute, so for their sake roll on spring.

6.20am...looked out of the window - heavy snow and a light dusting.  7am - covered.  By the time I left for work and hour later there must have been a good couple of inches on the ground!  Got stuck in ridiculous traffic on the way to work.  A journey that should have taken 12mins took about an hour!!

Now all melting at a rapid rate!

Why did they have to close schools? Will be gone by lunchtime. Are they going to open again in the afternoon?

If the staff can’t get in (me) who’s going to supervise the pupils?

A few patches of snow still in the back garden which is mad considering it’s now 6°C.  I built a little snowman which is mostly still there.

Still ZERO snow in Crewe and Stoke!

Always the way in Crewe. No idea what we need for a decent fall here.

Toys being thrown everywhere on Facebook because of the lack of, or ineffectual gritting this morning. The roads were gritted during the heavy rain but obviously when the snow came it was ineffective because of the rain and various thermodynamic processes.

It seems like it was only me that thought we could have a good event this morning. I should’ve warned the council.

Had a good couple of inches of snow this morning , turned out for work at 7:15 couldn't get off the estate due to snow/ice and abandoned buses/cars:rofl:, went back home , finally managed to get  in work for 10, all melted now ,but really pleased about the surprise dumping
