You were well outside the metoffice warning area as well! Just goes to show how tricky these things are to forecast and to be fair to the metoffice, they did stress uncertainty with regard to Northern extent.

Agreed.

Im suprised my locale was even in any warning area given the synoptics (ie rain shadow).

Well it’s going as expected for me here, was confident it would turn to snow. Met office just hate us round here. Anyway 0.5°C now, DP -1. Has dropped a lot.

Yes, we are getting some reasonbly intense bursts making it through, but the Peaks are just doing enough to take away the really intense stuff which reduces our snow chances. After last week, we can have no complaints though.

With those temps and the look of the radar, you could get quite some accumulation.

Strange, net weather radar has some quite intense pink returns over my house..but its raining, radar is faulty.

Precipitation type radar is computer generated from NWP and metar obs.

Hard to say. Looks like the precipitation is pivoting now as the low moves across. Maybe 2 or 3 hours at least? It is still edging North near you.

Looks like one of those occasions were its rain near the pennines and with altitude and snow near the coast.

Happy for chris and the others :)

Still snowing moderately here. All marginality  seems to have gone. Temperature approaching zero.

Dusting is getting thicker

Now 0.1°C, DP -1.1°C. Surely we can’t get an air frost!

The 21st air frost of the winter has just begun. 4th in March. Heavy snow below freezing. Really didn’t expect that today.
