I couldn't bear the thought of little boys outside playing football in this bitter weather... Their poor little knees shivering in the wind 😁😁😁😁😁. Hopefully they will be able to play their game..

we have become a snowflake generation, used to enjoy it in the snow,if your running about playing football your not going to get cold :gathering: .god forbid we don't get a month long freeze up next winter then

Very light sleet here in NW Surrey, brisk NE veering E wind blowing, can I expect snow later? Met Office suggesting 24 hours of the stuff!

Us southerners have to be a bit patient. the front is edging our way, but it's been very slow so far, but it has been building, so fingers crossed. after that, maybe tons of snow showers.

Lovely!

No rush, got all day! ;)

Trust me their well wrapped up in several layers and running around loving it. It’s the parents that get cold 😱⛄️

I remember playing football when young in cold weather. My bits shrunk to nothing. Wish they would come back or is that another problem?

Go away snow at least until after the qphaaa game. The thought of sitting on the terraces with snow and E wind does nit sound inviting.

Snow can settle on wet ground, it's a myth that it can't, you just need the temp to drop ever so slightly and boom its very strange to watch because you can almost watch puddles turn white

Lowering dewpoints also aid the process.

Still cant get over the fact that it is my Birthday on Wednesday and here we are on the 17th March with the prospect of some disruptive snow...

More so the change in conditions overnight, everyone yesterday kept saying to me, How can it possibly snow tomorrow with weather like this.. I said "Give it time.."

Snowing in High Wycombe for the last 15 mins. Small flakes but quite a lot of them on and off. Not settling yet - trying to on cars, melting on impact on roads etc. Need it to get a bit heavier but forecast light snow all day.

Woke up to a light snow shower, settled on cars only, ground too wet.  Stopped for a while and now snowing lightly again.

Just turned to snow here in north Kent. Those saying it won’t settle on wet. Don’t worry it will. Remember last year itd been raining all day. Turned to heavy snow and within minutes everywhere was white.

Does the gfs get them mm correct on 10day cause it says I'm only getting 2mm lol

Got remember that the GFS is showing rainfall accumulation not snow, water frozen into ice crystals will cover larger area on surfaces so need snow to liquid equivalent, wet snow about 1cm to 1mm
