Has much settled?

Everything is white, not a lot of depth, probably an inch maybe 2 on the flat but its drifting, we seem in a perpetual semi blizzard situation..

As a child, I remember having quite deep, laying snow about 3-4 miles inland from Deal a few times - enough for the schools to close. This was in the 80's though!

Oh yes, the hills and downs from ripple westwards seem to catch the snow, Deal town not so much. Good memories when the schools have to close ?

Yes another BBC MeteoGroup fail! :D

To be fair I don’t think the Met Office predicted this either.

Well, this band of snow has got as far north as West Cambs. Totally unexpected. How long will it keep going?

You are so right about this Nick. Forecasts on BBC this morning had no snow at all in central areas.  Having looked at the models, HIRLAM in particular, I was thinking who provides these forecasts!

Meanwhile the radar looks interesting for many in the south, but just look at the dragon's flame green to red stuff coming out of Cherbourg, France, aimed at Devon and Cornwall.

Well it's stopped at the moment but I think we are going to get some more coming up from the south.

About a cm on the grass and some surfaces in Horsebridge.

Hoping for a bit more based on the radar reports.

Probably just got more snow in the last 1.5hrs than all day yesterday! Quality of snow is clearly very important, lol! Just had M&S Snow - not just any snowflake..... :D

So will there be any more to come here in NE Surrey??!!x
