Your wish may come true if the blob can hold it together even the lighter stuff behind it would provide an hour of snow

Well here’s hoping - looks like it might have a bit of oomph ?

blob amounted to very little here...stopped now.

What are the teleconnections forecast to be for next winter?

You weren’t in the main blob zone.

It could be blobtastic for other parts , and a nice surprise ! :D

is 2018/19 winter going to be 'neutral' neither el nino or nina? and with the low solar impact how do you think we'll fare?

by the way always enjoy your posts in the MOD thread and tinged with a nice bit of humour (which we all need following our weather).

Thought it might settle further in land, figured the sea was the reason here. Strange considering DP.

Steadily becoming heavier (Not settling though, despite favourable Dew points?)

Heavy snow incoming for SE London.

Unexpected and unmodeled.

Just like surprise unforecast snow from an Easterly source back in the 80s

Remember it as a kid, nice to see some things don't change.

Snow type improving now here, but very light, need the back build to get heavier.

If anyone to the west of me (currently wigmore) is waiting for this blob I’ll say this...it’s impressive for the heaviness of the snow and longevity. BUT I don’t think you’ll see it settling on paths/roads etc. It is sticking to trees though and bin lids lol

Not sure my pic does it justice
