I stand corrected

Snowing in quite a few places this evening across the Midlands and SW, apparently? Was that forecast

Going back to ‘the beast from the east’, here’s a post I made on Facebook 3 weeks ago, but was mocked by some at the time

thats interesting, i had to have antibiotics the last bout of this three weeks ago because of an infection.this manifests by not being able to open the eye for ages when i first wake up, not because its crusty but its like the eyelid just doesnt work, sometimes i have to open it with my fingers.

That's what happened with me, except it also sometimes woke me up at night if I happened to move my eye in my sleep. In the morning couldn't open it, just wanted to stay shut but was very painful when I could get it open.

Because they didn’t and often don’t believe what I say, even though it’s usually justified and I prove them wrong. Maybe they just look at their apps ???

I’ve always been a bit nerdy when it comes to meteorology. I then went on to study it as part of my A Levels. As well as looking at the models and the science behind it, you also get a gut instinct. Take yesterday, for example. Many were predicting the biggest snowfalls here in the south from the warm front. I spent ages looking at the models, steering winds, temperature profiles etc. and I wasn’t convinced. I said the main precipitation would form in a band north of London through Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. This is what happened. People often say I’m too pessimistic, but I’m a realist based on what I observe and research. We all what a favourable outcome, but sometimes we need some balance and that’s why I try to add here ?
