I'm losing the will to live.  Once again, for those at the back. The main snow risk isn't until 4pm onwards. 4pm onwards. 4pm onwards. 4pm onwards. 4pm onwards. The colde

So the cold is almost at an end with a steady thaw expected over the coming days. As such the region will be one again. May I just say that the last week has been a real experience and I must tha

Can see big line of Cbs to my north over the crouch estuary - seems to be drying out down here atm which is a worry

As Steve M indicated earlier, it's pretty much game over for us in S Essex . . . we're about 10 miles south of the sweet spot :(

I'm not going to even bother lamp-post watching - a few flakes in the light don't interest me

For those on the SE sussex coast keep an eye on the precip in the channel starting to backtrack towards the coast as the precip further north keeps out of our reach.

Just come back from the town square, surprised how much has accumulated so far. Looking like another 6-9 hours of light to moderate snow :)

That's what I like to hear. I noticed last time the square accumulated a fair bit, that wind whipping up all that powdery snow about the place.

As I said a while back, it’s all north. You disagreed though

I didn’t say a thing? I agreed it was pushing WNW certainly seems this has stopped. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I’m seeing quite decent snowfall here for a number of hours now in SE16 I’ve been lucky again just being north enough to remain on the good continuous side.

This looks more like a traditional ESE Streamer, which runs true with SWF and Chelmsford having 5-8cm whereas Leigh ON Sea has barely a dusting on the roads and still the 3cm from this morning on the grass.

    Pi$$ Poor

    Yep. Shafted.

Well I don’t think anyone earlier thought the main event would be centered over northern Home Counties and East Anglia the emphasis was modelled considerably south.

HIRLAM has done poor but all models have been poor if worse.

To be fair, if Kent doesn’t fair well, would it be a disaster? Many in Kent were snowed in last time, but my friends just down the road from here only had a dusting. I guess it’s their turn for something!

And us down around Worthing have had a total accumulation of about 1cm over the entire winter!

I could sum it up perfectly but my language would probably get me banned... so much promise but naff all to show for it.

    Roll on the summer.

Let’s leave it there. I made a comment suggesting the northern shift and you shut it down in your usual style ?

Agreed it isn’t going to plan so who knows it should be dragged more south so areas outside firing area in should theory come back into it.

Forecasting snow and where it will fall sometimes is never easy and that's without getting the accumulation amount right, this event might one of my all time best for march in my part of the world, a classic
