Still small flakes & just starting to settle now. Hopefully it will fill in the gaps that melted earlier. Those gaps were making my garden look messy!!

Out in Basildon and throwing it down with snow but not settling

Not even on the grass on top of existing snow cover? I don’t expect it to settle too much on concrete.

Worthings snow shield was in full force last night it seems. (Photo taken at about 9am) Nothing on pavements and a little bit on cars, roofs and grass.

Nope def not settling it just seems to evaporate an inch before landing ? the whole weekend been disaster for ground coverage despite so much falling from the sky. Canvey by the sea wall.

Think it is a matter of not throwing it down hard enough. If ground was frozen solid you might get a bit of cover. Ground too warm for that to happen.

Developments to South now all look further north than forecasts

Nice coating on cars that were previously cleaned off ! Still not settling on roads / paths which is really frustrating! If it was a little heavier I think it would

Blob looks good but seeing all these reports I don’t expect it to settle apart from on lying snow on grass - still chance for this evening where it might be colder so I’m hopeful

Sorry if I’ve missed something before but how would London and Kent do with this now?

well it buggered us up yesterday but works in our favour today, not that it matters as it wont settle but nice to see falling snow anyway

EURO4 Monday morning is that showers or a wave disturbance there’s a lot of precip over France? Organised snow for for south/southeast maybe we’ll most favoured.

What's the point though if nothing is settling?

Nail on head right there. To think on Friday I was sitting on the seafront in pleasantly warmish sunshine.

Managed 4cm here in NW London, with more in the (small) drifts. Some melt on the pavements, bit still plenty on the grass. Hoping for a cm on existing cover from this emerging 'blob'. Will spring finally arrive? Not until Easter Monday if the GFS is in anyway correct
