I don’t have much choice I have a poorly back (in the wars at the minute) doped up on strong pain killers but find it hard to sleep, you should be fine now after a power nap

Great persistent snowfall here west north west of brighton. The fields are now white.  Thank you, Mr Blobby, stuck in your rowing boat in the channel, for chucking the snow up into sussex.

That reminds me - where's Mr Blobby these days...

..prob in rehab with Gordon the gopher.. or doin time like a few others..

Can't wait to wake up to a top up of the 1 inch  we have had fallen in Welwyn today, settling in shade and in un-warmed surfaces from previous days sun is quite a result  - Might be enough to make a snow creation ( gotta be non gender specific so as not to - you know - offend anyone searching!)  before all the snow melts.

'tis so nice to watch snow....

fall...

mesmerising <hypnotized emoticon>

I suspect some didn’t really think we’d be looking south for the snow tonight, given the surface wind is still ENE or NEly, but the snow is being driven by winds aloft rather than surface, a look at recent synoptic analysis shows upper low in red dotted lines has circulation and steering flow from the south for SE now the low has moved across the SW

It’s all been a learning curve tonight trying to understand the dynamics behind the precipitation formation!

Apart from the slim chance of the eastern edge of the low coming up from the France, I don't see where I can get the apparent forecast of snow until 10am tomorrow!

Better chances tomorrow night for many along the south coast

I didn't expect that - the radar showed the snow coming up from the south now and we are just on the edge of it - fine flakes though - temp has risen to -1.5C, humidity down slightly at 85%.
