Very much in the dry bit here now. What can we expect once this circulation pushes west?

Sick to death of this, heavy blowing snow, had to close of the front section of the lambing pens as it's full of snow now,, sheep crammed into the middle (which is also getting its fair share) and the back. Going to be a godawful mess to sort out in a couple of days. Hate it.  Feel sorry for anyone lambing outside in this weather.

Luckily it will all be over quite quickly, it all depends on how quickly the cloud breaks up over the next 48 hours, we should see some sunny spells develop once the snow clears. Once the sun comes out and we lose the coldest air then the snow should thaw fairly rapidly.

It finally looks like I am getting some snow on and off here, today was just a mix of snow flurries and sunshine which meant nothing settled, there is a dusting now with several hours of potential left hopefully.

Seems to he pepping up here in Bexhill, perhaps in association with the stuff in the channel? We have about 1cm atm.

Those on the southern half of East Sussex, West Sussex, and Hampshire don't look NE. Look South for backbuilding from the southern band in the next few hours. That is where any snow is going to come from.

Quick update from Brighton, here in the shared flat down towards the marina end of town.  Dry and windy, chilly, Light silly snow earlier that did nothing other than wet the ground.   Been out and about most of the day, walking both in town and out on the Downs, then a good Italian lunch that was immune to the weather, so for me it's not really about what's on the radar, what's on the charts, when a breakdown might occur, how long the cold will last, who has 1cm and who has 2cm, or whether snow has 'shifted' north or south.  I'm still not sure how weather can 'shift' anyway, it's done what it was always going to do.  People arguing about where, when, why, how much; blimey - what on earth is all that about?

Back to the sensible posters. How’s it looking across the region at the moment? We have light to moderate snow here

Chionomaniac was definitely right, snow is steadily getting heavier!

Sounds rough. I help out on the sheep show. Got a mate breeding Norfolk Horns. They are pretty Hardy and used to wet soil, ground is so sodden at the moment horrible for sheep. Like you say this wind and cold is not helping at all. ATB and hope things go to plan for lambing. Hoping for spring but this easterly flow looks locked in.

The snow today here has been much wetter than 14-17 days ago (todays snow reminds me of Jan 2017). Settled on cars and grass, but not pavements and roads. The radar doesn't look great for me (Sevenoaks area) overnight, although my fingers are tightly crossed.

Can't complain here (Bexley). It's been snowing on and off all day... it's been nice to watch.  Off to my inlaws in Herts tomorrow so hopefully (if correct what is being said on here) will see more lying snow.  All in all, I'm happy!?
