Yes agree sj, looks to be lifting north of us now. Sweet spot north of London, now.

Regards,

Tom.

Don’t forget, the system will move south, so everything will move with it

Well I had just left a pack of Peroni out in the garden to cool down and it did the trick

I did have to clear about 1cm of snow off the top though

Nature's fridge SK, very environmentally friendly!

Same as above been snowing for 12 hours here but nothing much to show for it. I thought by now it’s be settling on the paths etc but it’s actually making it wet yet it’s -1oC. Very strange.

Are you in Blue Bell Hill? I'm just down the road from you & all pavements & road are covered here. I've got a good few CMs on my garden table from today too. My daughter lives in Walderslade & said earlier that the roads here were worse than around her house, which is odd, because it's usually the other way around!

Sadly I can't see any southward movement of the precipitation.  It's going pretty much east to west to me.  Someone with better eyesight, please confirm.

You’re right, but the system is moving south, so the direction of travel will take a more southwesterly track soon

Quite surprised at this.

So many mixed messages from model outputs with regard to placement of precipitation.

Just seen a post here that suggests ECM  precip charts are calling for a dry night now in the SE!?

Unusually for me I rather blindly followed the Met office amber warning and assumed a Thames streamer was nailed.

We need to bend the winds more Northeasterly I suspect, whether that happens later and snow chances South of the river improve we shall see.

Hello all,

just popped in from southwest thread.

Noticed Diss area seemed to had heavy snow on the radar ( orange echoes) much of the day!!

Those areas must have had 10cm plus already ? Can anyone confirm how much there is about.

PS thanks to you all for exporting some westward for us here in the Southwest on its way.

Wish you all a nice time and enjoy it ( if you’re coldie fans of course)

I’m down in wigmore this weekend. Just a mile round corner and it’s a different world.

Snow not quite heavy enough to get a good base. Would only take a 10min burst of heavy snow and we’d get buried

Well I’ll be honest. I haven’t got a clue what is going on right now. Very complex situation. Still light/mod snow falling here in Southend, all surfaces covered but it’s all a bit meh if I am honest. Anyone got a quid for the snow machine?

Usually,  I can see the skyline of Croydon from my kitchen window. There's a white haze over in that direction right now. Snow ?

If you turn the animation on it looks like the ppn under Brighton is moving north east, not sure if illusion or fact.
