Looks like the heaviest stuff on the radar again seems to be developing towards Suffolk and Norfolk coasts...

so this is what the next 20 years is going to be like with the new ice age, hours of pointless snow grains:rofl:

I never want to see a snow flurry or grains or graupel as long as I live, sick of it today!

So.. I'm in Dover which direction will my precipitation be coming from?

Nothing seems to be moving at the moment...

If associated with the wave, from the south east

that has blocked all the showers from coming in like up north u might even see met office get rid of there warnings

What has blocked the ppn, I seem to have had constant snow since about 8:30.  There plenty of ppn about, and it's getting heavier in favoured spots.

A couple of very unpleasant dog walks today, icy winds and almost constant light snow. Didn't settle this morning, more so this afternoon as the temperature dropped just below freezing, the only patches of snow around are in areas sheltered from the biting ENE wind.

I haven't got a lot of enthusiasm for this weather in mid March, didn't even wear a coat to walk the dogs on the beach yesterday - spring can be very fickle indeed.

I think it’ll pick up after dark in an hour or so. Just so I look a weirdo to my neighbours as I pop my head out the curtains looking like jack Nicholson from the shining.

Don’t know if anyone noticed but I think there is more piled up on my windowsill than the path ?

I've noticed the owner of that Bimmer can't park properly.

Well it's been snowing lightly all afternoon, small dry flakes that get blown into corners and crevices as soon as they land. On my way back from the Saturday Sainsburys trip, I drove half a mile up the road to the top of the hill. It's always surprising to see the difference that small increase in elevation makes - only about 10m more. Up there the snow is starting to settle on the pavements and even side roads. My cheapo weather station is back up and running and showing -0.4.

Moderate snow here now. Lower dewpoints and colder surface temperatures is allowing snow to settle on all surfaces.

UKV looking very interesting, latest update has quite a neat streamer line which strengthens from around 9pm, and along S.Essex through SE London an intense band picks up. Also very little coming up from the channel out to 10pm as well on this run, most coming from streamer/general convection from the east.

That would be me ? , I will say tho that when I parked up it was a very tight squeeze and I left it like that so it was easier to get out if we did have snow , luckily my neighbours have moved their car . IMBY. Think I’m a very good driver , never in the 30 years I have been driving have I ever had a accident or knock or bang or speeding ticket etc ??

For those concerned, compared the 06z EURO4's expected snow accumulation for 17:00 today (this includes sleet too, and is mm water equivalent rather than pure cm) vs how much in total may have accumulated by tomorrow afternoon.

You have to take into account any melting that has already, so its possible it is over-estimating totals in some places right now
