Extremely light snow here in ramsgate, more of a token gesture than anything else.

Chelle, what happened with your outing? did you get there in the end?

Yes hun. We left at 10am by time we got to Bognor snow was falling agsin was probably our best quickest drive down as no one was on the roads lol. Our minibus driver just made it back to Essex before it hit again. We had a fab weekend was all melted by the time we got back on the Monday. Butlins cancelled their skegness and minehead weekends so we were really lucky that Bognor didn't get hardly anything xx

After a lull here, now snowing again. Radar shows, ppn " filling in", as northern band catches up, with southern band.

Current dew points, around the region. They should continue to fall, from the east, during the day, aiding the snow to settle, hopefully!!

Reminding me of March 2013 here at the moment. Then we Ended up with 5cms on grass and cars but struggled to settle on pavements and roads. Be interesting to see if it settles to a greater extent later when the amber warning kicks in.

Pretty much the same over here in Merstham, obviously got colder since about 4am as the heating has kicked in.

I woke about 07.20 to howling wind and heavy fine snow.. It's settling on most things but the roads and pavements.

Don't go outside with exposed skin, I went to charge my gas and my hands and face are feeling numb now:cold:

It’s going to be a memorable Sunday snow day for quite a few. The amber warning area looks solid, going by the latest high res output. Plenty of us will need some luck from the snow fairy so make sure you lucky ones keep posting your photos !!

As has been said above, concrete ground too wet for sticking at the moment. Needs intensity which isn’t quite there at the moment.

Coming down heavier, now in Lee and starting to settle on grass and cars.

Tom.

How you guys in the South east holding up with this on the way?  looks like a pretty decent band and it's not moving through quickly either!

Persistent light snow up here with precipitation coming off the north sea being relentless. Shame it isn't heavier at the moment as it is struggling to settle away from favoured surfaces.

Radar confirms North London is getting hammered now.  North London crew - can you confirm?

Just as a matter of interest, how much snow did you get from the late feb / early March spell?, as with the NW, there seemed to be huge variations in the SE/

Heavy snow here, settling everywhere apart from the main road which is still wet from early rain. This is the right kind of snow for snowballs! :D

I can confirm.

Heavy snow been falling for a while now. Everything is white except the road and pavements. Back garden completely covered, so are cars and roofs.
