This is not a game

this is the last cold blast from hell

Thames streamer, lake effect and prolonged snow you are all in Sunday's final

the search for Sir Alan's winter ❄️ business partner continues

Due to the very strong SSW influence, there will be further cold outbreaks at times during March, April and possibly across Western/Central Europe including UK/Ireland.

Super here in Seaford but not as warm as yesterday. We got a 14C. Here Yesteday. But a cool breeze keeping it down to 11C. Today.

Never mind sunset tonight at 6.01. Two weeks to the clock change and Summer in front of us, hopefully some juicy thunderstorms.

Good Health. :hi:

Having lived in the Rockies in Canada this feels quite normal to be talking of cold and snow in March into April. I like it :D

BBC weather at 1.30pm with Helen Willets said they are 'concerned' with possible snowfall amounts - which I take will be for the east and particularly south east...don't get the Beeb putting it out like that a possible 3/4 days ahead (unusual).

What's the latest?

The beast from the east is still on. SE looks more likely to take direct hit. It's going to be cold for certain. Some saying dry - many saying snow. Met office have amber warning for SE for snow like last time  - streamers setting up around the Thames.

Where and how much impossible to know til much nearer the time. All looks good at the mo. Lots could change though.

Oh and there's more people in the SE thread than the MAD thread. Says a lot lol.

If before March we've had no easterly for 5 years and now we're about to get the second in a month, does that mean we've got to wait until March 2028 for our next easterly   :help::help:

I'm also getting a tad 'concerned' about snow: we might not get enough!:shok::shok:

That there could be some snow and they will know more in the next couple of days basically, deifnitely no mention of snow fall amounts let alone anything concerning.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/0

Video is halfway down the page and only mentions the weekend for the last 30 seconds or so.

Going by the latest IKON..The snow should start falling Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning - It also shows the cold sticking around for longer.:good:

The GFS is also looking better in its earlier stages.

The GFS looks a lot better going forward, the high is at a better angle with undercutting lows propping it up.

It's not as snowy like the IKON is for much of the south.

Sorry to invade your Thread,However I did catch the end of the forecast.

The Exact wording From Helen was"The Met Office are getting concerned about Substantial Snowfall" However areas Effected or amounts were not mentioned.

Quite Correctly there is still uncertainty on Snowfall as this afternoons models have shown the HP is further north than previous runs.
