It feels like spring out there

Well it is spring.. and from inside it looks like November. The month so far has been incredibly dull.

i've  booked two weeks in Basingstoke , apparently you don't have to queue there for one potato and half a sausage, on the negative side it's plus 10 instead of minus 10:closedeyes:

Heavy-ish convective downpour started, the sferics were tantalisingly close, but no thunder or lightning was heard or seen. I have to admit, it feels quite balmy out there, despite the cloud. Temp. 12.3C, Dew point 10.2C.

Also looks like it’s heading Redhill/Reigate way towards me too. Time to go and get the rabbits in!

Thanks Troy, good health to you too. I noticed 15c recorded earlier around Eastbourne so not that far away from you and thought, that sounds very pleasant for mothers day down that way.

I'm in between two of the thunderstorms here, just a bit of drizzle at the moment.

Felt great in the warm spring sunshine earlier. I love snow as much as the next person, but I’m really looking forward to some spring warmth now.

Unless we get another cold spell with snowfall that settles, I’d rather we be done with winter cold and move towards summer.

The last thing I want is a half hearted cold spell with cold rain or a transient slush fest. Yes, late March can still deliver but it needs to be even more special than what we had a couple of weeks ago.

Pretty spectacular here in Wivenhoe, Essex. Lots of lightning heading north and some ripping thunder too.
