Cloudy and mostly dry with a few flakes of snow now and then in the air the wind is still gusty and bitingly cold

Further intermittent mainly light snow overnight, just the occasional moderate outbreak, further drifting in the strong ENE wind. Another penetrating frost. Cloudy this morning, feeling bitterly cold.  Mist. Average snow depth around 12cm. 100%

 

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday -0.1∞C.

Minimum temperature overnight -3.0∞C

24-hour maximum -0.1∞C

Minimum temperature on grass -3.0c Therm buried in snow again.

Yesterday.

 

Moderate/heavy snow died out last night, still very windy with further drifting through the night, easterly gusts past gale force. A severe and penetrating frost. Overcast so far this morning, bitterly cold, easterly wind still gusting past gale force. Mean snow depth, estimated 10cm. Drifts locally over 4 feet deep, possibly much deeper in some areas. The morning stayed dry with a few bright and hazy sunny spells. The afternoon cloudy, light snow setting in mid afternoon, turning moderate briefly by early evening with further light drifting. Another bitterly cold day, especially so in the strong, occasionally gale fore E wind.

Overcast but dry now after slight snow in the early hours, total depth remains 5cm after the slight top up, low of -1.7 C currently up to -0.3 C, so now 10 consecutive air frosts.

A cold and cloudy night with light snow from late evening into the early hours, and freezing fog from around 0400 onwards. Further drifting of lying snow overnight with the wind gusting 40-47 mph until after midnight but drifting stopped sometime during the early hours as the wind began to decrease and the fog developed.

Boring day so far apart from a few flakes of snow this morning dry cold and gray and heading for another ice day by the looks of it.

Had a few more snow/graupel showers throughout the night and first part of today. 2.3C / -3.6C 993.9hpa

Temp just crept upto 0.2c some thawing on the bare roof where the snow has blown mostly off it.

-3.7c min last night upto 10 inches of snow,freezing fog and thick rime on the trees snow is still drifting higher up steadily.

Overcast, dull and relatively calm after the high winds of recent days. Light snow this morning added a dusting to areas where snow hadn't yet melted. There was a 60% cover of 0.5cm so we just sneaked another lying snow day at 0900.

Misty start with the temperature just above freezing, dry with intervals of hazy sunshine then overcast in the afternoon. Feeling much milder with a rapid thaw - the snow coverage has reduced to about 20% now. Maximum 4.6, minimum -1.5. Wind light ENE.
