I'm not a forecaster (beyond radar watching and saying "it's going to snow!", but NW short range model is showing the Thursday/Friday event heading more towards Ireland? Hope I've just misread it, but that's a hell of a change compared to the current amber/yellow warnings for most of southern England....

Hope it's ok to share some pictures I took whilst out around our little village this morning   I won't bore you with them all, but here's a few of my favourites

Late Feb sun is strong, but i didn't think it was strong enough to melt roads

The thaw not very far away now. An'interesting winter indeed...and coming now to conclusion. Its been emotional and at times frustrating. Over and out. See ya-all november...ish.

Interesting running the radar back you can see the direction of travel changing slightly.

Only shame is it's a work day, would've been great to get the Fuji out and take some photos!

Pretty Classic ESE Streamer here, areas of NE London and NW London will do well here along with South Herts and Bucks

To tell the truth i am glad i had to postpone my journey as i like to look at it but i dont actually want to be going anywhere in it.

It's nothing compared to Drumochter Pass, late on a snowy Friday night, or early on a Monday morning!:santa-emoji:

Maybe somebody knows, but throughout the UK , the showers on the radar all seem to be clumping together to form continuous streamers. So if your in one your lucky , its what the radar looks like anyway

That's similar to what we have here, a few miles south of the city, though I think we have even more than that.

Good good, I'm at work in central London, snow is just scraping us here. Will be heading home shortly back to Chingford. Hopefully we get more snow for the rest of the afternoon.

Mate it’s not stopped must be a couple of inches nearly all main roads are covered

Feeling pretty stupid ATM for my "large teapot" predictions over the past few years.  I think this is the most snow I've seen on the ground here since at least 2005.

Definitely brightening up now but that was a phenomenal morning of snow. As was yesterday the case yesterday most will melt in the sunshine so going to try and get out and about to enjoy it while it lasts. Good luck to those who haven’t had anything yet

yes not many people buy large teapots anymore, they have become a thing of the past, you're obviously way out of touch with teapot buyers:unsure2:

just think how good this could have been without the shortwave dropping across the central uk tues am and last nights across east anglia - would have been streamers galore with a strong mean ene flow.

Anyway - let’s see what happens through the rest of the day although I’m still not convinced this will be a sustained streamer into the Home Counties. I think may be a bit further north.
