Just got in from C2C driving....was very, very gently snowing as I brought my empty train back from Pitsea at 2345.  One hell of an orange glow over the estuary.....I know why now!

Bring it on :D

Two distinct bands of snow moving in towards our region now, with ppn converging from the SE and NE.

London, Essex, Herts and S Suffolk (plus N Kent and Surrey) should get a covering from this, and possibly further West.

What's vaguely amusing is that Network Rail put us on an emergency timetable yesterday...annoyed a lot of people when the snow didn't arrive, and haven't said a word about tonight.

If this is as meaty as it looks, it could be a proper farce tomorrow as we attempt to deliver a full service, but can't.....especially as it looks like it'll dump over the entire line from Shoebury to Fenchurch St

I took a break from radar watching for a bit and couldn't have asked for a better set-up! A big cluster of moderate ppn heading towards London. Yayyy!

Just come back from Stansted Airport travelling to Harwich, no snow up there at all at the moment.  By the time I got to Colchester by pass (A120) at least 3cm on the road and really difficult driving for the last 20 miles, so cold the gritting lorries don't seem to have helped much.  Hope you guys north of London etc. get some snow this week :)

It certainly is!! Looking excellent for London and was just in the other thread wondering when the MetOffice will upgrade their warnings because London is going to get a pasting.

Snow train developing for Essex aswell might delay the sleep a tad longer.

You look to be in a perfect location right now.

I’m surprised no last minute weather warning for central London, this could cause havoc just due to the fact it’s going to fall in such a busy city - I’d say even bucks on the other side could get a pasting

I can't see it decaying that quickly, so yes, areas to the West of London should get something.
