Well that’s well off already, my sister in Spalding already has 5cm and that was before a nice shower just went through. Just shows how unpredictable this all is.

That's wrong already. We have them depths now with a big snow shower about to dump a few more cm's......I'd watch the radar.

I have done. A few blobs have past over my area, but I've seen no reports on here of snow.

Got a light covering in Basildon a couple of hours ago but its clear skies here so presumably not much west of here.

Any idea of our chance later , watching the radar it's going around us earlier .

Euro 4 pretty grim reading for the region as a whole

Hasn't already been massively wrong for today? The extent of the showers today was something I wasn't expecting lord knows how tomorrow will play out.

Norwich based forecasters Weatherquest are providing some really good charts and explanations during this cold spell. Here's another explaining why places nearer the coast are doing better for snow this evening....

Looks like a cracking coast hugger this one Blessed, until winds can veer more East.

Well that pretty much means I'll be getting nothing tonight.

Yh

The Fax chart Nick F posted in the other thread surely cheers everyone up in here tonight.

Streamers galore, at least 3 of them

Early days tbh, but probably not great is the answer at the moment. Once these shower train set up they don't move much. I suppose for us we only need a very slight shift but over the last few hours we have seen less and less showers so were just feeding of the scraps. Maybe a couple of CMs overnight if we get lucky.

Wash streamer which is currently under way and one running down the coast of Suffolk and Essex an into the Thames clearly marked as the areas at risk of highest snowfall.

For my location the wind really needs to remain towards the north east or all that snow will just push into the Midlands and avoid Cambridgeshire.

Are they not in the north and far south of the region so missing all the central areas? Sorry if stupid question...
