Bigger heavier showers now forming off the Norfolk coast and heading south westwards...fingers crossed. It's boom or bust tonight.

Possible streamer setting up?

The one that came through here was very heavy. A couple more and we could have a base coat.

Me too, probably the same day, a Saturday night gig in Colchester with the legendary John Cooper-Clarke. I was in Wivenhoe station waiting room with the support act, a friend of JCC's and my former neighbour, Martin Newell.  We got a local farmer to take him to town in his Land Rover in the end. I was not tempted to venture out and went home.

Your neighbour the greatest living Englishman! Saw JCC at Festival No.6 a few years ago and he was great, I like a bit of poetry, I saw Kate Tempest last year and was blown away. Sometimes my job is really fun!
This is the gig I am missing https://app.dice.fm/event/v3g2v-the-boxer-rebellion-28th-feb-islington-assembly-hall-london-tickets (and I took that photo) so it's a shame I can't make it.

I popped out for a bit, can report about 10 flakes were seen outside Asda, so time to get reacquainted with the radar.

On SAT 24 IS there is a developing area of deeper cloud/Snow heading towards EA. image.thumb.png.e02e44f98fde6308cf61b4246671f5fe.png From NE

That’s a small area of low pressure that’s due to pass through NE England, the Midlands and Wales. Not due to affect EA/SE England

Run out of milk in Burnham...makes you wonder if all this hype about the Beast from the East is propaganda to boost our economy! :)

Quick quick get to the shops before snowmaggedon turns up!

Beginning to snow quite heavily in Colchester, and settling down on the ground quite nicely to as well.

Absolutely hammering down, W Ipswich, low visibility, everything covered very fast.

Getting interesting now! Had another humdinger just passed through and pasted everything, blizzard like at times anyone southwest of here is in for a treat!

Looks a lot further south to me? Surprise on its way? never know. Worth watching IMHO

Anyone think that low in the north sea that is going to hit NE England might pep up the shower activity towards our region?

On a METO forecast I saw yesterday It suggest increased showers as the feature passed to our west, but I'll leave it to the experts!
