Yes. It's once in a lifetime stuff over there. I doubt we will see its likes again in our life time.

Had freezing rain quickly turned to snow.

Snow in Dagenham.

Moderate / heavy snow at times for the last half hour, back to light snow at the moment.

In the green shading now but apart from a few flakes mainly ice pellets and not heavy at that yet yesterday we were in the dark blue shading and it was coming down thick and fast.....you couldn’t make it up :D I find this obsession hilarious

Just to prove how quickly the system is intensifying, do a time lapse of the last hour over the SE of England.

Wow.

Well for once my locale could do well here.

All radar actions have me aligned for continued intensification as precip heads north/north west....

Still falling as sleety stuff here but intensity increasing - shame it's not snow!

Snowing and settling pretty readily here, even on main roads now.

Looks like a good couple of hours to come with PPN stretching back to the channel. I'd suggest we all get out and enjoy it while we can!

@KoldWeather  suggesting in the SE thread that it looks like the back edge is slowing down, possibly the system slowing as some models suggested?

That's a bit better, had some moderate snow for nearly an hour and now blowing around in the wind again - temp -1.2C, humidity 85%  :)
