So does that mean those of us in London will miss out???

Not meaning to be a spoiler but, apart from those fortunate enough to get a wee bit overnight tonight, all most of us'll see is an irritating spell of initially-freezing sleety drizzle preceding the eventual arrival of the warmer air...?:cray:

There's only so much moisture one can squeeze out of a decaying front...?:unknw:

All starting to move NW, don’t look like any for here tonight, was hopeful earlier watching the radar, and despite radar showing me under snow nothing has fallen

Unfortunately I think Harrow will be to far north and east for anything meaningful from that band to the south. After a period of snow tomorrow afternoon / evening, it will start to slowly turn milder. Wouldn't expect a meaningful thaw to kick in until Sunday, though. In the meantime, enjoy whats left of the snow!

The wind is forcing against the ne progression of the precip

expect that bigger clump to head nw aswell - probably lose intensity as it goes

Radar says snow, the sky says no.
I'll watch that Helen Czerski BBC Four thing about temperature instead, it's the episode about heat this week.

Evening all :)

The main change in lowland East London since this morning has been the increase in wind - a fresh to strong and bitter easterly has picked up.

No snow and a gradual rise in temperature - I still think I've had a second ice day here but only just. Temperature has stabilised and set to remain constant through tomorrow just below freezing with no real "warm-up" until Sunday. Even next week's milder values are still well below the early March average.

My hope is we avoid freezing rain - very unpleasant stuff !!
