Can you post the chart please

Not at the moment, it's the wording Kold Weather used in the SE thread though. Hopefully someone will post it in there soon!

Still only a bit of snow here. Im the opposite of the crowded house song. If I was back in Essex, Cambridgeshire would be 2 feet deep minimum now guaranteed! A walking severe weather shield I am!

Everywhere you go........ :D

Some of the outlying villages in SE Essex have been virtually cut off this evening with abandoned vehicles and snow drifts blocking the roads. Getting light snow showers but the wind is very strong here in Canewdon. Had 5-6 inches already although we lost some in the sun this afternoon. Wondering how much more we might see. Could pass 2010 yet.

Those showers look to be pushing in further west. Maybe there is another little dusting on the cards for Bedfordshire.

GFS has shifted eastwards, low is a solid 50 miles shifted and slanted better. Snow is equally further east. Expect this trend to continue as 18z still doesn't have the front right.

Also big risk of freezing rain for south Hampshire and maybe west Sussex.

For those who want to look at the 18z HIRLAM.....

http://wxcharts.eu/

Click on "HIRLAM" on the left side of the page.

It's showing this for 10am tomorrow... :)

overview_016.jpg?2018022818

Also, this model got the position of the low coming off the Atlantic where London recieved3inches of snow on December 10th 2017.

Other models had the low further North than what the HIRLAM was predicting.

I share your feelings mate, I grew up in Essex and lived through some humdingers in the 1980s! Now in Cambs and it doesn’t  quite cut it here in winter time for snow. It’s pretty good for storms during summer though and I’m thankful for that. Crowded house is my all time favourite band, so many weather related lyrics in the songs written by Neil Finn!

Hoping that maybe the fronts from the South can deliver a bit here Thursday and Friday fingers crossed.

Not sure what is happening to the rash of showers pushing our way - they seem to be just breaking up as they hit cambridge. Not really seen anything more than a few flakes in the air which is disappointing given the radar echoes.

HIRLAM has been fantastic so far and was calling snow for tomorrow earlier this afternoon. Very reassuring!

Very much echo this. Just 5 miles to the west of cambridge here so am eagerly encouraging a positive looking radar...gwon son, just a bit more!..

They're pretty weak...I'd disregard most of what you see on it..Flakes in the breeze stuff, nothing noteworthy overnight

Still snowing heavily in north London, an absolutely amazing day here, we've just had constant snow all day. Up to four inches now and eight-inch drifts.

This is pushing Feb 2 2009 now as my favourite snow event!

What is going on with this snow I thought it was meant to stop during the day?

What a difference a day makes, eh? Last night, it was blizzards for us and nothing for you; tonight, it's the complete opposite...No wonder the pros are having problems!:cold:

Arg. Was hoping to fly out from Heathrow tomorrow evening. Worth noting Hirlam is still at odds with the 18z GFS where the ppn band is a lot weaker. Will be interesting to see which one wins out.

Holiday or Snowmageddon. I'll be happy with either.
