There's a lot of showers in the north sea tonight just clipping the North Norfolk coast heading towards Lincolnshire as they head west, hopefully we can all catch a few of them

Not much here. Very patchy, couple of cm where the sun hasn’t shone, very patchy everywhere else. More noticeable is the daytime  cold and black ice in villages. First ice day since I got my weather station 3 years ago.

I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be very frustrating for most in this regionn but Friday may give more snowfall to most of the region, how much is unknown but there are some suggestions the front may stall over the northern part of the region before dying out.

Crikey, -5.5 driving home from work at 5pm

The cold is intense - near on comparison to how it felt in Montreal Canada earlier this year. Incredible

icicles hanging from cars and gutters, last time I saw that - well I can’t even remember.

This cold spell isn’t going anywhere folks. Massive turnaround this evening.

I really hope this verifies, but it is just one run from one model....I need to keep my distance for now, I can't get sucked in just yet!

Really frustrating for cambridge, this. Too west for 99% of shower activity and too east for frontal systems. Shame to have only got an inch from these epic Synoptics. As ever, NNElies best for us. That said, we've had at least an inch of snow 5 times over 4 months this winter, so can't really complain. Plus who knows what tomorrow and Friday will bring!

OMG the MAD thread is going nuts, looks like the ECM is giving us a surprise. Just one run BUT who knows! It would be amazing to verify and give us ALL a load more snow for the weekend!

Well well well, I am so surprised, the snow starved North Suffolk for once got a good dumping, over 8" and now drifting to feet deep drifts off the fields, really did not expect this, even got off work early.  Lots of fun going for a long drive earlier, hand seemed to keep slipping towards the handbrake for some reason though...

Tomorrow snow potential looking like the most Northerly extent is Milton Keynes possibly Northampton

In a S’Easterly line through Luton down to the capital.

Even this is questionable.

Friday? Who knows...

south and west of London look to do well...

Wish it would go somewhere else soon. Right nuisance this time of winter. Don't get me wrong I like seeing a nice dump of snow. It is the collateral effects that are a pain.

Wasn't expecting to see quite so many flurries over our area this evening

Would say is it snow blowing up into the radar field ..... but you don't get this over the sea!
