Just popped into the South West thread and it seems the Hirlam has everything for tomorrow shifted a bit further east.

Hirlam seems to be fairly accurate from what i've heard. Please let this shift more east!

just looking out it seems to have clouded right over again, and the radar seems to have some more organised showers blowing in.

After last night's last minute warning when we weren't forecast that much of note, and then quite a big fall during the early hours,  I must say I'm keeping a very open mind about the next few days, just a minor correction and we could end up with an awful lot of snow.

They're not wrong...

Southern parts of East Angelia and most of London are in for a dumping, potentially that is. :)

The Mett Office does have London/Home Counties and parts of East Angelia under a Yellow warning for tomorrow and Friday aswell

Thanks to both @moogyboobles and @mpkio2 for the wonderful pictures. My kitten broke my camera on my phone, otherwise I would have tried to get some pics up too. Not as good though I'm sure! ;)

I really would not be surprised to see more unforecast snow.  We had a lot last night when it was supposed to snow in the early hours (which it also did) but it was snowing on/off from about 7pm giving a good inch or so before I went to bed and we had 5" or so this morning.

It has also snowed most of the day and it's now getting very black again so hopefully we'll see some more tonight whether it's expected or not.  Hopefully it won't be too bad as need to get the car to the garage for repairs tomorrow and can't skip it as the MOT is due soon too.....

While not a guarantee, it keeps us in the game, and maybe improves the outlook for us tomorrow.

Yes. It would be fantastic to go out with a bang... Whatever happens from now on we will remember this period of weather for a long time to come.

Haha, you and me both.:good:

As a rule of thumb, I always take the Mett Office warnings as a "guide" as in any area near the edge of the warning zone could easily be in the firing line.

Just look at today's snowfall in the capital that was mostly out of the Amber zone that covered the South-East got, yet London received....

:unknw::rofl:

I still got a feeling most of us are gonna get a pasting Thurs/Fri.....

Fingers Crossed!!! :drinks:

a friend of mine posted this about the above image:

"The model itself is based on the 'Hirlam' output, which is one of the best hi-res models available. As far as I am aware, it updates every 6 hours on the Met site, usually around 4pm, 10pm 4am & so on."

Absolutely  chucking it down again here, and windy too, OH and the small cleared the path to the garage earlier and it's covered again.

Don't think this is over for today somehow!
