Things look much better north of the river, don’t get too greedy. :diablo:

Parts of Suffolk / Cambridgeshire doing quite well.

Really interesting that radar pic..for so much activity over land rather than sea shows you the land must be getting fairly warm as well.

Your Twitter feed is a total ramp fest! A bit embarrassing if I'm honest

The Bedford barrier well and truly up today. We seem to permanently in the gap. Showers north and south but nothing here and looking dry for next few hours.  Not sure what the best wind direction is for here tbh. :wallbash:

Convection seems to be easing off in the estuary and eastern parts of the region at the moment. For now at least.

Shower activity looks more vigorous further north atm, although will be missing me for now. I can see the chains of showers driving in on the same path though, which highlights how much variation we could end up with come tomorrow.

MetO look like they're expecting more activity this pm before they become confined to the coast overnight before pepping up tomorrow again. I think I'll need a covering of at least a few cms through this afternoon to give tomorrow morning's a decent chance to settle. In that regard hoping to see some heavier showers pushing in within the next few hours.

Just had the best shower so far; most things are covered with 1cm or so...But will the sun be enough to melt it?:shok:

Just had a small flurry just outside Bedford but yep it's truly stuck.

Yep I'm the same here in St Neots. Cambridgeshire doesn't do snow showers from the East. I have seen 3 or 4 flakes in the wind earlier, don't expect anything til Friday

Pretty much sunshine and showers across the board. Seems pretty springlike, well except the wind is in the opposite direction and the temperature is barely getting above freezing. Had a couple of heavy ones here this afternoon at work and back home, but nothing really sticking. We need to get a decent covering for it to stick or the sun will make light work of it.

How do you think those of us north of the river will do tonight into tomorrow? Showers even more widespread and heavy?

looks like the warning for your area could turn amber for Wednesday night as the wind switches to a south easterly ;-)

Second Heavy snow shower has hit Cambridge now. 0C .... juicy big flakes

Slight drip drip from last cover, Snow melted from areas the sun shone on for long periods this morning, but stayed elsewhere

Showers at the moment seem to dissipate west of Cambridge/Peterborough line...but hopefully this changes later into tonight

Sun is well and truly out again. Local wildlife completely confused about whether they should hibernate or start a family
