I mentioned in last thread that we are a snow-no-go area , sucks

Sad to say the beast from the east does nothing for our local. Need wind to change. Can't believe we done better with the pest from the west on the 10 of December. !

That heavy shower gave us a dusting, but it's meting very rapidly - soil temperatures or dewpoints too high?

Canvey island has had showers nearly every 30 mins since 7am but like otherwise the sun comes out in between taking it away. But I'm confident things will change in couple of hours! Oh my sledge has just been delivered let's hope it gets to come out of the wrapping tomorrow.

Well in sunny Halesworth, we started with flurries, then sun, couple more flurries floating about and we’ve just had 15 minutes of medium sized heavyish snow, settled on my artificial grass but not pavements. I don’t want anymore, iv enjoyed the nice dry cold sunny weather and would rather that than slippy icy wet stodgy yuk. Maybe it’s an age thing but I prefer not to slip and break a hip or slide around on untreated country lanes in the car. But for those that want a whiteout, I hope you get it, just leave halesworth dry pretty please :cold::cold:

edit, yep I sound like my mother, it’s depressing :sorry:

The melting problem doesn't seem to be as bad now as it was earlier today, been about an hour since the snow stopped and we still have 2-3cm on most surfaces

Not dew points - sun and soil temps I should think, same here.

Another photo from further out on the beach at low tide this morning, that wind was bitterly cold!

Good point; Meteociel shows DP at -2C here, so that should be cold enough!

Not really that fun if snow is going to settle at night and melt by day. Wish this would have happened a month earlier
