The sky has gone very orange to my East, plus the wind has really whipped up. Radar looking good too!

Just popped out for a cig.....don't know if it's just me, but the air almost has a smell/flavour to it.

Either that or it's just pure Siberian air instead of the polluted crap i'm used to

The radar is poor it shows a lot of snow east of London right now. Yet reports say there is very little snow so far

I think i will use another radar from now on, because it currently shows Kilburn and north west london with snow, yet no reports from people about this.

A few flakes in the wind here now. The wind has really picked up as well. Looking at the radar, it might be picking up in intensity slightly.

Looking like the ppn is farther North than forecast, with Suffolk, Essex and London looking like they will get most of the ppn in the next couple of hours, it is really beginning to build now.

I was just about to crash after dithering for ages, now I might have to stay up for a wee bit longer. :D

Looking at the current radar and the latest GFS for this time period (only published 10 mins ago) there is a MASSIVE discrepancy between them:

Far more going on than that! :D

I've been under the pink shaded area most of the night and there's pretty much no snow on my front lawn. The radar may look impressive but there's not much to show for it.

Don't look at the precipitation type, look at the normal radar, when it is green it will be heavier. It takes up to 10 times more water to make a snowflake than a raindrop, so what would be light drizzle in normal circumstances, won't even fall as snow, it will just float back up because it is too light..

Well nothing so far, just cloudy at the moment. Hopefully as this gets heavier then maybe some flakes might actually reach the surface.
