My regards to Linford and East Tilbury - used to live and work at Bata's in the '60s. Taught Linford kids to play the piano too in the church hall! All famous now I expect!

Only recently moved to Linford, so have absolutely no idea what Bata's is, sorry. But it's a lovely little place, don't know why you'd want to leave! :hi:

No idea if we are due anything here, next to nothing in 2010 when the SE and everywhere else got hammered.

So not expecting much, but slight changes in wind direction could give a few showers

Hope it all goes well for you, and thank you!

Always goes smoothly in the night time, when we have 6pm runs is when it gets interesting, the hydraulics for the ploughs have been tested, they haven’t been used in years! Must be exceptional chances of 6inches or more! ( threshold for plough use) ?

Evening evening Southend calling.

Technically we are border patrol so will be floating between both threads ?

Lol, Southender, reckon I’m border patrol too, only just north of the Thames here at the wonderful Dartford Crossing

These charts from Dan Holley at Norwich based Weatherquest are now very appropriate for our new Region. Potential snow accumulations to midday Mon, Tues and Weds:

You’re very impatient. The real interest starts in the early hours of Monday morning where severe cold really tucks in.

Looking fab on AROME tommorow expect greater intensity too...

Interesting post in the other thread, showing the possibility of the rash of showers across our region.

Seems very reasonable to me, again the NW section could get quite a bit more depending on the track of Tuesday's system, otherwise for showers it looks a pretty good fit.

Same here. Thames is less than a mile from me. I'm closer to Gravesend than I am to Basildon!

I'll take it!

It's while yet, but how are you viewing things in regards to Thurs/Friday's low at the moment BA?

The envelope is too large to have a strong opinion

I have a feeling that these are seriously under estimated

Not long now I think, probably the first showers arriving in the next hour or so though there have been reports of a few flakes already which isn't a surprise.
