Thanks, looking at the radar I thought it would be, never mind

I agree, looking at the radar it seems that we should be getting quite a pasting but we know differently, perhaps later tonight.

Snowing hard in Herne Bay on North Kent coast Settling on cars pavement and roofs

Been so busy catching up with this thread I hadn't realised how much there was!:D:shok:

I did look out about half an hour ago and saw there was a dusting but didn't think it would be much more than that. Not yet anyway.

Think those of us in Orpington area are too far West atm and need shift in wind which will hopefully happen as night progresses.Wouldn't expect much before 3-4 am and then hopefully we may be in with a shout. If we miss out again will be gutted but lets see how the night progresses.

Good Luck everyone and hope that our patience is finally rewarded.

Heard thunder snow to the east whilst taking the dog out for a walk 15 minutes ago. Got about cm+ here now.

Cell over South End and Estuary about to hit the Hoo Peninsula. Might get something from that although suspect it'll hit Gravesham.

Beautiful Steve. Solid 8/10. A good 1.5cm now and all covered nicely. A nice base for the night.

What does the convergence line mean please? Thanks :)

Convergence, converge, ‘joined up’ snow showers into more organised and larger snowfall ?

Heaviest snow since 2013. I'll get some pics in a bit.

I hope this continues through the evening.  Still at work in London but should be making my way home on the train from Fenchurch Street to Chalkwell in about an hour.
