Trying to find flow charts for later on but can't really find any, the models are all off at the moment with shower development

Current forecast on where they will be for later

An IMBY post here - anyone in Medway area looks like we might be getting that snow heading out way on the radar. Maybe within 30 mins

Look like it's heading right for the hill.  Prob going to just miss us as we're just down the valley between Snodland and Rochester so BBHill shelters us a bit.  As what's happened most of the day.

Ive got a feeling as highlighted earlier the warning was a tad to far west - the allignment of the convergence is acute -

Anywhere west of a line of colchester > Chelmsford > Dartford > East Grinstead > Brighton **** May struggle ***

Its more mid / west kent SE essex on first inspection -

Great that finally the showers are getting some heavy echoes to them

The Amber Risk is starting it seems

Should get a decent covering in Leigh from that one just North of Burnham on its trajectory its a direct hit

Think the lowering of the dewpoints from -9 to about -4c is going to help the snow

Ever heard the terminology its too cold to snow from the older generation - Lol

I feel like we are going to miss out here which is disappointing. Hopefully central gets a covering.

Now the winds have veered NE, I'm not expecting much in my neck of the woods over night as from what I can make out, the showers will push more SE than where I am (Bexleyheath).  Certainly doesn't bode well for a Thames streamer tonight anyway.

Ouch sr, we really don't want to hear that, do we!! :nonono: Yes a NE flow, will favour a mid-Kent to E.Sussex, streamer.

I'll just have to console myself, with my pasta and meatballs!! But let's wait and see, what the next 24 hours bring!!

Regards,

Tom.

Yup anything north or west or south of a line from Norwich to Brighton looks a fail. Good luck to those further east and south east.

got a meeting tomorrow in Kingston which I was secretly hoping I could canx because of snow - was expecting a rerun of Feb 09 overnight but looks not likely so better prepare instead for meeting !

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much from this set up in Ashford, right on the SE side of the higher risk area and winds looked too Easterly for us out here further east.

However, wind direction is a bit more NE and showers seem to be lining up and I’m a bit more hopeful. Limited time offer though as winds are expected to veer more east then SE. Need to pile in those showers while we can, 0.5 Kentimeters in the last shower!
