Light snow now in Mid Sussex. Despite it being very light, it's instantly settling on all surfaces including the road so temps must still be well down.

There's "something" falling out of the sky with a few flakes mixed in...not really sure what it is...ice snizzle ??

Netweather radar showing darker echoes approaching Hythe, Folkestone, Lydd areas west to Brighton now. Should intensifiy whatever is falling. Radar shows it as Snow.

Light snow now falling on frozen surfaces after the earlier freezing rain, just treacherous out now with the temperature starting to fall slightly to -1c

Coating of ice on my car windscreen from freezing drizzle falling most the morning here near Croydon, glad I don't need to drive anywhere today

Work has just been informed to send people home early. Train operating companies (Southern, Thames link etc..) warning of disruption and early closure due to freezing rain (it's freezing the point systems)

Fingers cross not more freezing rains. At the moment it’s freezing drizzle constantly adding to the ice layer.
