I think Brighton is probably a touch too far east to get this, I'm certainly not holding out much hope way northwest in Aylesbury!

Look at the rader. Looks like Kent will also cop a decent band now, b4 log.

Are we sure that it's going to suddenly change direction to NW? To my untrained eye it looks like the current trajectory should bring the area of PPN over Rouen across SE and London? Wishful thinking?

Sounds pretty crazy but in central Brighton it feels a bit too warm for snow, the snow that is floating about is very wet indeed!

Same here

what a load of b0ll*cks aye

Well going by Hirlam 12z and what the current radar shows, I'm going with the NE corner of the storm breaking out NE and just catching N Kent and S Essex. Its not wishful thinking because I doubt there'll be much snowfall, but I reckon there'll be a tad!....unless it turns to rain of course haha

Going to be interesting to see what we wake up to in the morning in this part of the world.

Going through another lull now with only very light snow before the next band comes through.A bit of a dry slot has formed ahead of the more intense convection as well. We will see how it all evolves in the next hour or so!

She's brave! For many reasons :D

I'm about 10 mins walk from Kidbrooke Station, on the Courtlands Estate, but nothing really coming down now.

I still think the band over France will deliver.

Yes Mark,

I agree, but my daughter takes after her father, she's a real cold weather junkie!!

In the past 5 Winters, herself and her partner, have been to Iceland, 3 times and Canada, twice!!

She recently, came back from 10 days, in Toronto. She had 6"> and a lot of that time, was sat under the polar vortex!!:cold:

So she's extremely acclimatised, to very cold weather.

Regards,

Tom.

We had a great snow event Monday evening and most of Tuesday, around 6 - 8", lost some to melt and wind, had a modest 2cm top up but nothing really since a couple of small flurries, I'm just frustrated for all the people missing out from what could have been an epic event for the whole region

Thanks Lee.

Yes, such is life! After Monday evening we’ve had nothing to speak of but just the way it goes I guess when it comes to showers.

Last chance for us near the coast I think tomorrow.Would settle for a couple of cms to be honest at this late stage.

Looks like summer sun has the mad thread all to himself this afternoon lol, merrily talking away to himself, loving the less cold outlook

Has the 2nd downwelling started to affect the output yet?

Is this for tonight or the band of snow expected tomorrow afternoon?

Very light snow in NW London. I am about 20 miles to far east for anything notable

Quite a turn around much like last night. I personally thought we would be done by Wednesday morning but it just doesn't stop!
