13cm is my measurement here trouble is I only found a 15cm rule so might need to go out and buy a bigger one!

What about your snow depth?

Snow's melted or evaporated to be honest apart from paths which are sheltered.

Is that our lot for the time being?

Folkestone.

Stuck on m2 near blue bell hill. Not moved in 30mins. Anyone know anything?

Maybe congestion. Just seen this: 4 hours ago - Detling Hill. The A249 in Detling is still closed between the M20 junction 7 and the M2 junction 5. Drivers should use the A229 Blue Bell Hill instead, which KCC Highways said is “open and running well.”   But i'll do some more checking.

Still snowing here Horley/Gatwick, though starting to brighten. Must say, very surprised at how wet this snow is. Feels wet, getting soaked. Squeaky snow. Dew points must be marginal? No charts but I thought they’d already tanked? Absolutely no suggestion of settling on untreated main roads and paths, despite very heavy precipitation.

New info from ITV:

TRAVEL Update - ROADS: KENT - accident on A229 Chatham / MaidstoneThe A229 is closed in both directions at Blue Bell Hill with queueing traffic after an accident involving six vehicles between M2 J3 (Chatham / Rochester) and M20 J6 (Chatham). There two unrelated accidents on either side of the carriageway that have caused the road to be completely shut.

Ask your friend Ray Darr

Has to be a chance of further convection with a warmish sun popping through and the flow more favourably (for some) veering more easterly.

Thames looks a go... Flow is almost perfect now

Looks clear in the Thames estuary currently? Unless we're expecting further showers to develop later this afternoon.

First real snow my Scotty has seen - 10 minutes in it, 25 minutes cleaning him up, ice globes all stuck to him.

10 cm here in Burnham looks like a sunny afternoon and a slight thaw.

I had a little nap this morning and missed the snowfall that's deposited about a cm.

Good to see more of the area now has snow.

Sky starting to get again with light snow falling.:)
