It’s the dew point you need to watch I think Euro4 rises them above freezing by 0300.

Yeh, its lovely...makes you want to be outside!

Its soo peaceful as well, even during the day, I'll hear the odd car, but the most noise is coming from families pulling their kids about on sledges!

Had a quick look around the region at Dewpoints. Seems there is a wedge over London, Kent, South Essex that dewpoints are at between 0c and 0.5c so looking likely you dont want the precip there. Further West and South West through Surrey, Berks, Herts, Bucks etc the Dewpoints are -1 and -2 so that is doable.

If your in Essex or Kent, Blob stay away!!

Yh, I reckon we might get one more day sledging tomorrow (am) before the slopes go to slush.

Will be out early with the kids over Langdon Hills tomorrow for 1 more day of winter fun!

We don't know. Major cold and snowy winters bunched together in the 1960s, 1980s and the later 00s including, so here;s hoping for next year. Mid March might bring a cold spell.

The desperate among us are hoping any rain tonight in our region will turn to snow as it hits inland a bit...

Really sad it's over but am now hoping for a quick clean thaw, can't be doing with that grey sloppy slush that hangs around for days!

So did we have any accumulation totals for the region for the last few days. It's very hard to judge with the sunny day melting half of ours on Wednesday when we were just missing  the cloud cover and streamer that got Essex and London. but I'd guess overrall somewhere in north-central Kent or Essex got the most? I think in total we had about 8-9inches fall in Gravesend but only 4-5inches remained after the Wednesday melt day& extra small accumulations since.

While Other areas accumulated more  on other days. The drifts on my way to work between Gravesend and Meopham were very impressive several feet high above my car in places! I stopped to take pics.

I was surprised by the lack of snow in Surrey! I was around Guildford this morning while delivering there was barely a cm before the PM snow came. Still a lovely spell of weather for us coldies to savour and a snow fix achieved for another year for us all- I'll leave you with my pics of the drifts just south of Gravesend today. Goodbye Beast from the east 2018!
