Pretty similar for me... seems unlikely!

This cold spell has reaffirmed my thoughts. Sounds great at first, snow everywhere, chaos. Until you have to go outside. Especially towards the end where it goes slushy. I am now on the lookout for some warmer temps. Not crazy mid 20's stuff but a good firm 12-17 degrees with single digit lows for sleeping.

Isn’t it funny how we all want different things , I love snow but I’m now done with it lol , it’s march and I now want warm weather thunderstorms etc , I love summer and want it hot hot hot now .Shame we can’t get proper seasons here !! But saying that I love our unpredictable weather too

I remember March 2005. I’d just started seeing my now wife then and we both skived off work and watched as 9 inches fell through out the day. It was then she realised she was with a weather fanatic. She still married me so it worked out ok

This spell has been fantastic. But for me nothing will ever come close to 1987. That’s the holy grail in my eyes. Living up near blue bell hill even back then we were in the firing line and ended up with 2.5 feet of snow. I was a young lad and thought that was fairly normal, especially as 4 years later we had another amazing snowfall. ?little did I realise the pain of snowless winters thereafter. Here’s some classic pics from around Medway in 1987

Agree with you totally... I lived  by the crematorium.. Unbelievable... Then the following October the wind  nearly blue the bell clean off the hill.. Another one in a life time event..powerlines flipping about In the road.. House caught alight.. Surge up through fuse box...best and worst times. But loved the chaos of it all :-)

It’s been emotional guys. Time to head back to the mad thread. Reckon we can squeeze one more cold snap out of this winter.

It’s died back a little now. Google suggests we’re gonna have ‘light freezing rain’ for a couple of hours ?

would love that - along with one big final dump - perhaps 2 foot would be sufficient ?

Well looks like everyone is leaving but I'm going to hang on another hour and watch this band just reaching the channel. Understand that it's supposed to be rain but with sub 0 temps and -3 dew point. It surely is marginal especially inline and at height.

Knew I was right here! Heavy snow here north of Portsmouth all the roads white again.

Just had the heaviest snow shower here too. I thought it was going to be sleet or rain, seems elevation is helping us out. I wonder if that lot in the to the SW is headed this way.
