That’s it I’ve had enough now this freezing rain is horrible and I need to get to my local shop. Just tried to go out and looked like bambi on ice!!! Oh and I’ve run out of beer???

Very light nondescript particles (snizzle ?) falling steadily in Mid Sussex at the moment with a few obvious small snowflakes here and there. Sky gone quite a bit darker in the last 30 mins.

This has been a remarkable cold spell for England.... unfortunetly some placesgothit worse than others.... in Surrey we had hardly any snow

However, this has been noteworthy for some parts especially more in the south west..... and freezing rain.... I haven’t seen any myself but that is a rare event.... and the temperatures

Same :D

So it's either the shops later or the pub, both could be tricky. I should also be travelling over to my Parents to get them s few bits but luckily they was warned last week and stocked up.

Is the snow likely to be less than Powdery in this set-up?

If surface temperatures remain below freezing, then more likely it will be powder snow, just above freezing, then wet snow with higher water content.

Getting heavier in Hailsham. Nice fluffy flakes.

Fascinating but potentially deadly combo of freezing rain and snow coming down between worthing and horsham.

So it seems that the more intense radar echoes are what are delivering snow.

Freezing drizzle in Cobham it’s quite deceptive as it’s damp then you realise it’s frozen solid in your coat etc . Pavements are super slippy roads if they have been gritted ok . Temp -1.7c maybe a 3rd consecutive ice day ??

Is it one of these fronts which is expected to effect us today, if it’s the one that’s the West I’d be very interested then see how this would happen still, is there a different patch from somewhere else???? Which direction is the wind going I’ve read about three different directions in 5 minutes

Something coming down from sky but don’t what exactly it is ??? it hurts when it hits your face with wind, but not quite wet, I guess it’s sleet ? Brighton.

Freezing rain isn't always wet.

That doesn’t seem as impressive as I thought. Has it slightly dissipated??? I’ve just seen that massive blob over northern France is that the piece headin at us????
