It's expected to build and move north/north west, with, later this afternoon, a band of snow affecting all the south, surrey included. Tonight it might turn to freezing rain.

Freezing rain sounds awful!

The radar still looks very uninspiring.

Hopefully things will pep up soon!

We have freezing rain in Gillingham currently - the road surface on untreated side roads is lethal

Wasn't the precipitation supposed to hit us around 2-3pm? Let see how the radar develops in the next 2 hours. Hoping for one final flourish but not expecting.

The main band - 3 or later now.

No spring-like weather expected in the south at all in March, says the Met Office forecast, issued a few hours ago. Might be the odd milder interlude, but that's currently it.

Not surprised, have a feeling March will be cold. We might see more snow, too.

Unless the radar picks up soon, we're going to be left empty handed again, despite what the computer models have been saying.

For anyone who likes winter weather, and is thinking of moving, don't move to the Sussex coast, unless microscopic snow particles that dissipate instantly upon ground contact, or rain, are your thing.

Looks like tiny ice pellets falling in Reigate now.

Nothing here in Charlwood. I am sceptical anything will occur today.

Same. I love snow, but I want to see my boyfriend and I've got house renovations going on.
