Worth noting plenty of reports of freezing rain now in coastal areas of the SW, I suspect only a matter of time before they spread to coastal places in Hampshire and W.Sussex as well, so keep a close eye on it. DO NOT travel if it starts to freezing rain, it is so dangerous!

Plenty of snow to come our way from the south then ...

temperatures highest they’ve been all day now

but don’t worry, dew points still well below freezing

certainly a turn up for the books tonight, with various models not getting the eastern extent of the snow moving north again.

not making it into west sussex though nick, as has been the case pretty much all week.

Well this snow loving, Arsenal fan has had better days...

Oh no, not you too. I think Hayley should get herself home quickly, have a hot chocolate and thaw out. Then dive under the duvet and when she wakes up in the morning, it might just seem, like a bad dream!!

Regards,

Tom.

Ok, been interesting and sometimes exciting but it looks like we are on the path away from cold now.  After Sunday I'd like,  please,  some hints of spring and that first day of the sun making us take notice of it's heat, albeit gentle early season stuff to break us gently in.

Actually wrong. Brighton has been briefed to expect 5-10cm its painfully slow but it is on the move.

Anyone got any suggestions about tomorrow?

Seems to be a lot of uncertainty and I'm worried for SE Kent.

What are models showing/suggesting

My word, where is all this heavy snow? Got a bit colder here again, back below -1C, there’s been light snow for hours but it can’t settle much due to the wind.

God hope you havent got a stable Inversion above you like we had in our Amber Warning in 2009. You would need to run a Hodo to see wether there is a stable layer though.

Still snowing heavily here in Petersfield (north of Portsmouth) so if your further north your time should come. We have had nothing all winter up till now so I feel it's well deserved. Hoping it carries on all night and anyone without any yet gets their turn.

I don't think we will get much more here in Reigate. Have gone from all snow tomorrow to sleet and a bit of snow but reduced amounts. Expect this to be downgraded. Want the spring now, fed up of being cold.
