Anyone who follows our summer Thunderstorm plume threads should never give up hope with the weather and precip moving up from France.

A few years back everyone in the West Country were celebrating a rash of Storms that were in Biscay and 8 hours later the SE got slammed all unforecasted

Expect the Unexpected

Yeah this has reminded me so much of a southerly plume, especially the track the precip up from France and seeing how it evolves!

Can't complain with how things have gone thus far though!

Certainly intensifying as it heads across the channel and widening too, if it stalls over the South it could be a 12 - 18 hour blizzard. Something we haven't seen since 1978/79

The Met Office have so messed this up.

Amateur forecasters on here proving, again, that they are more on the ball than the paid professionals in Exeter.

But worrying though if people are in it or under it and reporting nothing falling?!

Doesn’t appear to be moving further east at all now

It's not set to it is a case of whether we can get convection kicking off creating showers extending east. Notice as it moves over the channel showery activity extends east from the band.

You can't trust the light colours. Isn't always making it to the ground. Should start within 10-20 mins id say.

Same, as under the light snow according to the radar but an intense stare at the lamppost saw one whole flake
